Computer classes:

Free Basic Computer Literacy
This course is designed to familiarize students with basic computer operation, the basic features of Microsoft Office Word and the Internet.
The curriculum includes: introduction to basic computer knowledge, Microsoft Office (document creation, text formatting, document saving and storing) Internet-related issues (Internet search, e-mail, electronic greetings, maps and directions, online shopping) and exploration of Illinois workNet site (online job search)

Each student receives a copy of an illustrated handbook in Polish and a USB flash drive.
Classes are free of charge and are conducted in Polish.
Classes run from September to July and meet weekly over a thirteen-week period, or twice a week over a six-week period.

Paid Class - Intermediate MS Word and Basic Excel
This course is designed to familiarize students with the intermediate features of Microsoft Word and the basic features of Microsoft Excel.
The curriculum includes: MS Word: text formatting, applying borders and shading; using headers and footers; tabs and styles; using, modifying, and inserting pictures/symbols; creating tables and graphics, labels and envelopes; and mail merge. MS Excel: keyboard navigation, data types, inserting data, functions and formulas.

Each student receives printed materials and a USB flash drive.
This class is offered in September on Mondays during evening hours and meets weekly over a nine week period and in January and April on Sundays in the mornings. The class meets weekly over a nine week period in September and over a twelve week period in January and April.
Class is conducted in Polish.

Paid Class - Introduction to QuickBooks
This course is designed to familiarize students with the basic features of QuickBooks.
The curriculum includes: bookkeeping fundamentals, setting up a company, working with lists, setting up inventory, invoicing for services, processing payments, working with bank accounts, entering and paying bills; and interpreting financial reports.

This class is offered once a year starting in June or July. Class meets on Saturdays from 9am to 3pm over a five week period. Class is conducted in Polish. Basic computer knowledge is required.
